Our ecological responsibility starts before production.
We don't simply buy silk from China, we invest
in the process and incorporate our own high standards to ensure an ecologically correct production
according to Western standards: |
- we carefully check everything which comes into
contact with the natural silk
- buttons, zippers and other accents are chosen
according to exceedingly high standards
- we use only environmentally-friendly packaging
- we maintain control over the social and medical
aspects in our workshops (i.e. working conditions,
child labor )

We remain committed to a socially and environmentally responsible production. In spring 1997 we initiated the first certified organic silk project in China. In the meantime, we buy certified organic silk from a partner company as we have closed our own project. This commitment extends to our energy sourcing in Germany where we meet our energy needs through windpower and alternative sourcing electric companies.
